Welcome Message from ISPACS 2008 General Chair
The International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems (ISPACS) is one of the most well known international symposiums in signal processing, and communication system. The main objective of the symposium is to gather researchers, professors, students, and interested persons in signal processing, communication system, and their related fields in order to share and update advanced techniques, know-how, as well as technologies in the fields. The ISPACS has been technically supported by IEEE, and annually organized in many countries such as China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, U.S.A., and so on.
In 2006, the steering committee of ISPACS held the steering meeting at the ISPACS 2006 in Tottori, Japan. They have officially selected Thailand as the host of ISPACS 2008, and agreed to organize the symposium in Bangkok on December 8-11, 2008. This is the great honor for Thailand as second time to host the ISPACS after ISPACS 1999 in Phuket. Since Bangkok is the main hub located in the center of South East Asia for traffic from Asia Pacific to East Asia, Middle East Asia, and Europe, it is easy and convenient for many people to participate the symposium. In addition, Bangkok is the capital of Thailand as center of trading and industries with long history and proud tradition. Therefore, the participants of ISPACS 2008 have an opportunity to not only learn advanced technologies in the fields at the venue, but also get experience in social knowledge during their stay in Bangkok. Hopefully, the symposium will stimulate the research and applications of people in this region and collaborations among the participants around the world.
As the general chair of ISPACS 2008, I would like to welcome researchers, students, and professors around the world to submit your research papers to ISPACS 2008. Hopefully, we will have chances to discuss research results among the experts in these fields in Bangkok, Thailand during December 8-11, 2008.
